Catching Up

So I've been slacking. :) Or just busy, really. (Karen, it made me smile so huge when I got your "slacking" email) So here is a huge update on the last week with a billion trillion gazillion pics.

Okay, so Chloe ended up staying home last week on Thursday too. She woke up feeling crummy with a head cold.

Friday she was better so she went on to school. We cancelled cheer practice for Fri night because we had 2 Halloween parties to go to. And y'all KNOW how much I love Halloween stuff! :D So our first party was for Student Appreciation at Chloe's dance school. It was loads of fun.

There was a bounce house...

A cake walk...
She didn't win but she played it about 900 times. A lady brought several older boys (not "students") who all walked away with a cake. That irritated the hell outta me! But she still had fun trying.

Chloe got one! She was so excited.

Saturday Chloe had a 6:30 game. It was her last game of the season!
Unlce Justin painted her face. A megaphone and a #1. She was so excited!

And for the 2nd time this season, Chloe was the only one from her squad to show up. She did a great job, cheering the entire 2nd quarter by herself. The parents of the "big girls" do such a good job of cheering her on and telling her how great she did. It's so sweet.

A few random pics from the game...
I took some video too but DropShots is all jacked up right now so that will have to wait.

We left the game early and made a stop at Target to get Tanner's Birthday gift.
Sunday we had plans to go to Tanner's party. But that didn't work out well and we ended up missing it. :(

Later that night we had a Fall Fest to go to at a church close by.

More face painting...

And ballon animals. She got a pink poodle to match her outfit. But she likes to make it clear lately that pink is NOT her favorite color anymore. Blue is now her favorite. :D

And look who else was there! ;) Koby (as Leonardo) riding a pony. Of course Chloe went nowhere near them.

We had McDonalds afterwards. Just Chloe and me. :)

Monday started another crazy week.
Chloe says that kids throw up "all the time" in her class at school. For those of you who don't already know, she is a total germ-a-phobe. The thought of someone vomiting gets her all worked up and worried that she is going to get sick too. Poor thing. Well, I thought she was exaggerating but it turns out that kids have been throwing up almost daily in her class. Well, Monday...she was one of 4!
I got a call from the nurse telling me she had vomited and I needed to come get her. My first thought was the stomach flu. Well, it ends up being that she just gagged on some sinus drainage which caused her to throw up. She actually felt fine so we made a trip to...can you guess where....?? Target. :D Target is the cure all anyway.
Then we hung out and watched The Bachelor together. Can you frickin believe he kept Bettina? Her family sucked. But Sheena's mom was CREEEEPY! I am rooting for Jenny but really more for myself. I mean, I already live in Texas and I love Austin. I need to date Brad.

This morning she was upset saying that she didn't want to go to school. But of course I sent her on anyway. She had a good day. Yay!
After school she had tumbling. And then we had friends coming by to carve pumpkins!
First Grandma and Grandpa stopped by with some Halloween goodies. Have I mentioned how awesome they are? Just being around them makes you feel so good.
Then Rena, McKinlee and Tanner came over and we carved out pumpkins. Chloe and Koby can enter theirs in a contest at school tomorrow.

Here are a ridiculous # of pics from that...

Candy Apples, Sandwich Shoppe

After school on Monday, the cold had me in the mood for some fall treat making. So Chloe skipped dance and we went to Target to get her a new costume and stuff to make treats. She decided on the 50's girl and it looks so cute on her! :)

Yesterday was pretty uneventful. We went to tumbling and while we were there Chloe told me her ear felt funny and that she couldn't hear her own voice. We worked on her letter "Ii" homework. And she read all of Green Eggs and Ham on her own before bed. :)

So this morning she said it "sounded like a rainforest" in there and she wasn't feeling well. I let her stay home and she went back to bed and took a good long nap.

Then her dad came by and wanted to take her to lunch. She wanted me to go which was pretty funny since Hector is in one of those "I'm not gonna talk to you" phases. lol. But anyway, Chloe was cute and I took some random pics of her. I mean seriously, you can't have too many pics of this cute kid. ;)

Laughing at the OnStar operator. Hector called them to get directions to the restaurant that is 3 min down the street so he didn't have to ask me how to get there! LOL!

WE went to her favorite restaurant...The Corner Pocket Sandwich Shop. Here she is by the painted wall:

Going home.

Now she in a bad mood. She doesn't like the rule that "If you stay home from school you just get to sit around and relax." So she's having a freak out.

Brrrrrrrrrr!!

So yesterday it was just under 90 degrees. Today it is in the mid-low 50's!!!! That's like winter for Texas! lol

I had to dig out (by that I mean I had to find which laundry basket they were stuffed in) the fall/winter clothes. I love jeans and sweaters.

I had my first Pumpkin Spice (though a frap, not latte ;) ) from Starbucks for the year. Thanks for meeting me, Rebecca. It was great chatting with you over coffee!

I was talking to Rebecca about wanting to go back to school (I am at 45 hrs) and she mentioned on-line classes (on-campus classes aren't really an option right now). I don't know WHY I didn't think of that! So anyway, I have decided that I want to take *at least* one on-line course in the Winter/Spring term. Woo Hoo!!!!

I went to pick the kids up from school and the wind was blowing hard in the 50-something degrees and it was sooooooooooooooo cold!!!! Everyone bundle up...tomorrow should be cold too!

Oh, and Chloe needs a new Halloween costume. Her witch one is already falling apart from just one use. :( I saw some cute 50's poodle skirt costumes today at Target so maybe that's what I can talk her into now! Koby will be a Ninja Turtle (Leonardo to be more specific. Or as Koby says, "The blue dude.") And Kaleb will be a race car driver. I flippin loooove Halloween!

A game, a picnic, a party...

There goes another busy weekend!

Saturday we had a game at 1:30. We had to leave early and the boys lost after we left. :( Chloe and her friend did a great job cheering, though! Only 1 more game to go.

Saturday afternoon we went to a big anniversary picnic at Scottish Rite for a mom's board I am on. It was the board's 5 yr anniversary and we had a blast...and raised some money for the hospital! Yay!

Today we went to a Halloween party at a friends house and it was so much fun! Here is Chloe in her costume before we left:

And a good ending to a fun weekend...Dallas beat the Vikings!! WOO HOOO!!!

We are exhausted! I hope everyone has a great week! We are getting soooo close to Halloween! I can't WAIT!

Book Fair, Teacher Conference, Skate Night...

Whew! What a busy week!

I put in 15-20 hrs working the Book Fair. It was so much fun...but I am glad it is over.

I had our teacher conference on Thursday. It went very well. Chloe's teacher had nothing but great things to say. She talked about how helpful Chloe is and how well she is doing with reading. She showed me her assment that she took during the 3rd week of school. She scored 86 out of 90! I am sooo proud. The only thing she said we need to work in is reading comprehension so that she will be ready to start with the Accelerated Reader program in January.

Thursday night was Skat Night for the school. This was Chloe's first time to roller skate and she had a great time. I didn't put skates on until the last 15 minutes...and WOW! It's been a loooong time. I was wobbly but it was FUN! Here are some pics of Chloe and Koby skating...

They both did a great job. Koby was so tough...he would fall down and get right back up and keep going. By the end of the night, he was doing awesome!

As usual, we have a busy weekend planned.
Tomorrow we will have McKinlee and Tanner over in the morning. Then a game in the afternoon...head from there to the DAM Picnic. Then Sunday we have a birthday party and a Halloween party to attend and of course it is Football Sunday! Should be fun!

Busy Busy Busy

(Picture me hopping along saying "Busy, Busy, Busy" like Professor Hinkle. Hehe!)

So Saturday the Owlets won their first game!! Wanna know why? Chloe was the only one to show up from her squad. (Her squad cheers 2nd quarter) She got out there and cheered the entire 2nd quarter all by herself. And I am convinced that's why the boys won. ;) I was so proud of her. All of the "bigger girls" parents were too. They won 12-6.

And when we got home Chloe told me "Mom, it doesn't matter if the Cowboys win tomorrow because it is more important that the Owlets won today. The Cowboys win everyday." LOL

Thanks Kaci and Stephen for coming out to watch her cheer. She was so happy yall got to see her. And I have been stuffing my face with the awesome popcorn snacks yall gave her. (Don't worry...I am sharing with her a little ;) ) The Peanut Butter Chocolate is soooooooo flippin GOOD!

Okay, so after the Owlets game we went bowling. Justin and Hector promised Koby and Chloe they would take them bowling if they got all green marks on their behavior floders. And they did. :)

And on Friday Chloe came home from school wearing this ribbon on her shirt.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I asked her what it was for and she wasn't sure. So I asked this week at school and another parent told me that they are given around report card time to the students who were the best all around for the six weeks! That's my girl! And speaking of report cards, she had a perfect one! Koby and Kaleb too!

So then Sunday. Don't even get me started on that game. The refs and the announcers were pissing me off. The Patriots did play an awesome game. I'm just bitter.

And yesterday the Book Fair started at the school so I have spent the past few days (and will spend the rest of the week) volunteering with that. It's so much fun.

SO I hope everyone is having a great week! This weekend starts the Halloween festivities and I can't wait!!
