A Busy Time

What a busy time of year!

I never realized how busy the end of the school year is...even for Kindergartners! We have been going NON-stop!

Yesterday the fabulous Denise told me I needed to update my blog! hehe. So here I am.

Chloe's been her usual funny self.
The other night we were going to bed and had this conversation:
Chloe: Mommy, before we go to sleep can we just talk for a few minutes?
Me: Sure, baby. What did you want to talk about?
Chloe: (pausing, looking at the ceiling...deep in thought) I was wondering why you couldn't have been boyfriends with a tall man so I wouldn't be so short.

I couldn't control my laughter long enough to even answer her question.
She cracks me up.

The past couple of weeks have been weird for her.
She is NOT ready for Kinder. to be over. She loves school and doesn't want to have a "break". But at the same time, she is excited about Summertime and all of the fun things that come along with it.
She's been acting out BIG time but we had a talk the other day and she told me that she would work on being more respectful and in a better mood. The next day she woke up in a great mood and she was an angel ALL day.
She listened and she really is trying. I'm proud.

I can't believe that we are at the end of her Kinder year. She has come so far and learned SO much thise year. We couldn't have asked for a better teacher and we have made some great new friends.

She is looking forward to her Pep Club season starting up.
Last year we only had 4 girls on our squad (and they didn't even all participate) and this year we have 20+!!!! It's going to be a big squad but luckily I will have two awesome Assistant Directors.

Hopefully things will start to slow down a little soon!

Mother's Day

No pics...

My awesome sister bought me a new cell phone for Mother's Day.
It's pink and cute and fabulous! Thanks, Stef!

Chloe bought me a digital picture frame. I need to get it all figured out but it's really cool! Thanks, Chloe!!

We got to spend the day with family and at Grandma and Bop Bop's house.
It was a very very hard night for him. His defibrillator shocked him a few times, meaning that his heart was stopping. Needless to say, it was an emotional night. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope all of you moms had a perfect day.
Motherhood has brought me close to so many new friends and I am blessed for that!

And Kaci...this time next year you better be at least knocked up! :)

The Bachelor

The Bachelor is probably one of my favorite shows ever.

It's cheesy, dramatic and unrealistic. But I love it and try not to ever miss a season.
Well, except for the season with Lorenzo Borghese. He was just creepy.

So last night was the finale.
The past few seasons, the winner has been the one I did *NOT* want to win.
But last night when Matt told Chelsea bye, I was SOOOO excited!
I think Shayne is a total doll and I am so glad he picked her!

I even let Chloe stay up late to see it. She was happy too. hehe.

Sure, they'll be broken up in 2 months, but it was fun to watch.

Next week the Bachelorette starts.
I don't care much for Deanna but I'll watch anyway. :)

We're baaaack!

My blog has been in hiding for a week now.

If you don't know the full story I will spare you all the details and just tell you that for safety reasons, I have set my blog to private. It is now only viewable by those who have been approved.

It's been a long, stressful week but things are getting taken care of and it will all be behind us soon enough!

Thanks for all of the thoughts, prayers and encouraging words.

I'm exhausted!

I am still exhausted after a busy weekend!

Chloe had a tournament this weekend with a game on Friday night and 2 on Saturday. Her team won 2 of the 3 games (though they really don't keep score at this age) and she was soooo excited to get her medal.
I'll have to get a picture of her with it.
I think we will be done with soccer for a while. At least, we won't be going back to the same team. She didn't really give it her all this season but it was still fun! Now that we are done with that I think we will look for a new place to get back into tumbling. She misses it and with pep club coming up, it will be good for her.
This summer is going to be crazy. She is going to miss school and she'll drive me (and herself) crazy talking about how bored she is! lol But I am looking forward to slowing down and spending some time together.

After her game on Friday night I had a really fun and much needed night out with some of my fabulous girlfriends.

Photobucket

Sunday after church we went to the White Rock Lake Festival. It was FUN! I have some pictures from that but I'm too lazy to post them right now.

I hope everyone has a good week!
