I've Been Tagged!

So Shannon "tagged" me and I am supposed to share 8 interesting things about myself.
But really...I am not a terribly interesting person!

Let's see...

1 - I have a crazy fear of getting stuck in a public restroom. I didn't acknowledge this fear until recently when I was in a teeny tiny restroom in a restaurant. It was just a single bathroom, no stalls. And I was so scared that I would get stuck in there. Of course the person I was with would have eventually come looking for me. But still, I have that fear.

2 - I am addicted to chewing gum. Peppermint Trident is my favorite.

3 - I am obsessive about deodorant. Seriously, I put on WAY too much. B.o just totally grosses me out and there is no chance I will risk having it.

4 - I don't love cats. I don't even like them. And I am allergic to them.

5 - I hate wearing heels. They make my feet hurt. But sometimes I do just because they look good. I would rather wear flip flops everyday.

6 - I am a cheap ass when it comes to myself. I rarely buy anything that isn't on sale or super cheap.

7 - I mentioned this in my last blog. I am always changing my hair. I only get it cut like 2 times a year. I cut it really short and then grow it out long. Just to cut it short again. And about every other year I dye my hair brown. I usually don't like it and then go back to blonde. But right now it is brown and I kinda like it.

8 - I'm not good at making decisions.

Wasn't that boring?

Now I tag Rena, Dawn and Rachel.

Time is FLYING!

I've been such a slacker!

Lets see...
I dyed my hair brown! Med-Dark Brown. I am still getting used to it. This isn't unusual for me. Every year I want to make it darker but then usually I end up hating it and dying it back to blonde. But we'll see. I think I will have Lindsay put some hi-lights in it.
Just like every year I grow it long and then chop it off. I never keep the same length/style for any long period of time. So we'll see how it ends up. I have pics but I am too lazy to go get them from the other computer.

Um, the Cowboys are freakin bad ass. 11 and freakin 1!!!! I am loving it!!

Today is the LAST day of November. I am still trying to figure out where October went. Seriously, WHERE is time going!?!
And so we are 26 days from Christmas. I love Christmas but I am getting so tired of how commercialized it has become. I just want to relax and enjoy my family and celebrate the birth of Jesus. But instead it just seems to turn into a stressful time where everyone is worrying about gifts and just pushing themselves into debt. I love giving and I love seeing my daughter get excited over her gifts...I just wish it was less stressful. But anyway, I am excited.
The tree is up but the lights are all messed up so there aren't any decorations up yet. Maybe this weekend.

Last night we had family game night at Chloe's school. It was fun! And they got their report cards yesterday too. All checks from little Miss Chloe! :) Woo Hoo!!

Chloe and I went to see Enchanted last week. Freakin adorable movie.

Hm, so that's probably all.
I am ready for 2008.

Happy Turkey Day!

I haven't updated in a WEEK! I apologize for any withdraws, convulsions or depression this may have caused. I know you all live for my random musings.

We have been busy as usual!

Last weekend we met my friend Kandi (www.krayphotography.com) out in Denton at the Little Chapel in the Woods at TWU to have some holiday pictures taken. She did an AWESOME job! Here are a some (okay, a lot) of the shots she took. There are soooo many great ones!

Aren't they gorgeous???

Saturday night Chloe and I met Rena and McKinlee for dinner. Chloe hadn't seen McKinlee in a little bit so they were excited to see each other. We ran into Rena's parents and they paid for our dinner. They are so sweet. :)

Sunday night we had a little family party for my bday. I got so many great gifts and Chloe ordered me the cutest dragonfly cake. I can't find which computer those pics are on so you'll just have to believe me. :)

Monday was my 26th bday (again, I can't find the pics). I had lunch with some friends. I can't believe I am more than halfway through my twenties! I'm gettin old! ;)
That night Chloe decided she wanted to have her ears pierced again. She did this when she was 3. Did great. But once we changed them, she was allergic to the new ones and her little ears got soooo infected. But lately she has been saying that she wants them done again. So that's what we went for.
But once she got in the chair...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

and she decided not to get them done afterall. ;)
So we did a little shopping. The weather was great and we walked around and danced like crazy kids to the music. It was a great birthday!

The kids got out of school early on Tuesday for Thanksgiving break! Woohoo!! I finally started my Christmas shopping! I can't believe we are one month from Christmas! This is my favorite time of year!

We spent Wednesday cooking and getting ready for Thanksgiving!
Chloe was so happy that I was making my cool whip covered fruit salad...

And today is Thanksgiving! I love this holiday.
I have so much to be thankful for in my life.
Last week on my mom's board someone asked what we are thankful for this year. So I am just c&p'ing what I said there...

I am thankful for Chloe. I am overwhelmed by what an amazing little person she is. She is loving, caring, kind, funny, smart, fun. She makes me smile when I feel down. She came into my world so unexpectedly 6 years ago and my life was forever changed in the most amazing ways. Her smile lights up my world and those little hand squeezes meaning "I love you" melt my heart...and that she doesn't think she's too big to be mamas baby. I am often amazed at the thought of God trusting her precious life to me.

I am thankful for the most amazing parents. They support every decision I make even if they don't agree with my choices. They are always there when I need them and the love me unconditionally. I can't imagine where I would be in life wothout their support.

I am thankful for my nephews. They keep me laughing and I love them as if they were my own boys.

I am thankful for my Grandparents. This year I am especially thankful that my Grandpa is here to celebrate with us. His health is so bad and I worry about him so much. Everyday is a blessing. They are truly the most amazing, loving, giving, selfless, kind, gentle people I know. I am blessed to have them.

I am thankful for my Uncle Steve (Kunk). He is such a strong person. I have learned so much about life from him.

I truly have the most amazing family. They are fun, funny and just awesome.
Grandma, Grandpa, Kunk, Mom, Dad, Stef, Koby, Kaleb, Justin, Hector, Chloe. All of them are special in their own wonderful way.

I am thankful for my sister. There is no one like her. She is funny, smart, and just an awesome person.

I am thankful for my friends. Esp Kaci and Rena. They bring me up when I am down. They "get" me and love me anyway. And a group of friends who I have recently gotten closer to...they make me smile and I know that I can be myself in their presence. I am blessed to have so many amazing friends in my life. I love all of you.

I am thankful for Salvation. That God sent his son to earth to die for my sins. There is no greater gift.

Oh, and apple martinis...I'm thankful for those too.

And just because it's cute...

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving!

Meeting Junie B. Jones

Thursday night one of the libraries over near us had a "Meet Junie B. Jones" event. (For those who don't know, this is a children's book series by Barbara Park) Chloe loooves Junie B. Jones. And I must admit that I do too! The books are so funny. So we headed out to meet her.

We read one of the books while waiting.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And waiting patiently. :)

First there were crafts to make...

A "Stupid Smelly Bus"

A Junie mask...

Glasses...

And here is my little Junie B...

And finally time to meet Junie.
We had no idea what this would be like.
I thought maybe a child or young woman dressed like Junie dresses.
But instead it was a woman with a massive head on. LOL!
Chloe was less than thrilled about that. She said the huge head was creepy.
You know how she is...she can't hide her feeling about anything because her face is so expressive. Well, here she is...

It was fun!

She brought this home from school yesterday. The feathers are where she listed what she is thankful for...

I don't know if you can see what she wrote.

-Her teacher
-Mom
-Food
-Her country
-Dad

She's such an awesome kid.

I Scream You Scream We All Scream For...

ICE CREAM!

We had a meeting at the school tonight followed by ice cream sundaes! YUM!
I rarely get a pic of all 3 kids...esp all 3 looking at the camera. They aren't smiling but I promise they were having fun! :D

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And Chloe decided tonight that she wasts to quit her dance class. She has been dancing for 3 years and I think she is just ready to have a break and maybe try some other things. We'll still keep with tumbling though...she still loves that!

Cocoa

Since apparently 10 Build-A-Bears aren't enough to satisfy a 6-year old girl, we went for our 11th this weekend. Now, mind you, I have not paid for all of these "bears". Some have been as gifts, a few I (or Nana and Pawpaw) have purchased. But for the most part Chloe buys these with her own money. Usually when she has money this is what she wants to do with it. So Friday night we headed to the mall with her wallet, (this time, her dad gave her some $) in search of her newest stuffed friend.

She chose "Clarice". For those who don't know, she is Rudoluph's girlfriend. ;) She thought it was cool that Rudolph's nose lit up but decided that "the light would burn out eventually and then it wouldn't be fun. And Clarice has eyelashes." Who am I to argue? She decided to change her name, though. She named her Cocoa.

Here she is creating Clarice/Cocoa. :)

I loooove the look on her face in this pic... (making a wish)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

She is stuffed and ready for a "bath"...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Just right!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Here they are in front of the fountain. She chose a red dress with white polka dots for her. We passed on the $14 shoes. Crooks. lol.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

She plans to snuggle her every night until Christmas. :)
And yes, we have already started with the Christmas stuff. No decorations yet...for another week and a half. But we watched "Deck the Halls" while wearing Christmas pj's this weekend. Now if we could just get past these 80*+ days!

Also, Chloe got a haircut this weekend. We will never go back to Cool Cuts 4 Kids or any kid hair place. They always do a crappy job. Last time they cut it soooo crooked. So this was really to finally fix what the other place had messed up. The lady asked "Could the other lady not see when she cut her hair?" LOL. It's all straight and cute now.

School Picture!

Awww, Chloe just brought home her Kindergarten school pic.
I usually think these pics are super chessy lookin but I was happy with the way they turned out!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Koby's are great too but somehow they cut off part of his head on the big one so we will have to re-order.

They said 50's day was fun today.

Chloe said the root beer floats were "kinda gross."

Koby said "they were delicious...I had 5 or 11."

More Sickies

Poor Chloe ended up staying home from school on Monday. She has missed so much school with all the sickies!
After she came home from Chuck E Cheese on Saturday, she started running a fever up to 102*.
I took her in to the Dr on Monday and she has a sinus infection so she is on some meds to clear that up. She's so funny...she won't take chewables or liquid but does great with pills so that's what she got.

So we went to Target to fill the prescription. What a nightmare. As much as I LOVE Target, I HATE their pharmacy. Rude, ignorant people. (And I was so tempted to tell the lady that copped an attitude with me that she had done a poor job of shaving her upper lip. Gross. I know, I'm evil) We got it, but we won't be using that pharmacy again. ;)
Chloe was so happy...she adores Kaleb and pretty much thinks she is his mama. Well, he was riding in the front of the cart and started to get up and get in the back of it with Chloe. He sat in her lap and crashed on her. She was so happy that "she got him to sleep". :)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And later she taught him how to play with her Leapster. Awwww.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

She went back on Tuesday and had a great day. Woo HOO!

Today they got to wear 50's clothes (again) and they will have root beer floats for the 50th day of school celebration!

I am just being lazy. I went to the gym for an hour this morning...just to come home and eat Fritos and peanut butter cups.

And holy moly...Thanksgiving is in 15 days! Where oh where has time gone?

Whatca doooin?

Thursday Chloe and I went to the mall.
I have to tell you, Chloe is so much fun to hang out with. When it's just one on one time, she is like a mini adult. We have the best conversations and she is just a total sweetheart. I love it.

Anyway, she bought these fancy gloves. She was so proud of them...
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And I got some cute new clothes at Dillards. But I also had to deal with HORRIBLE customer service.
This was the 2nd time in the Dillards juniors dept at this certain location that I have dealt with the worst c.s. I think these were the same girls as the 1st time too. Ugh...they were so rude. Didn't offer any help. Just loud and totally obnoxious. But whatever, I wasn't going to take the time to complain...UNTIL...Chloe and I walk out of the fitting room to get something. One of the girls sees us and loudly says something to the other girl and then yells "Fuck an A." Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...my 6-yr old was about 3 ft from her. So I complained.

Friday was a busssy day. I worked at the MDO I will be subbing at. It was soooo much fun. There were only 4 kids so it was super easy and the kids were just adorable.
Then last night I went out with some friends for dinner in Addison. It was so much ridiculous fun. I love these pervs.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Today has been pretty relaxed. We watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. (Yes, I realize it is only Nov. 3rd but I can't help myself.) And now Chloe is at Chuck E. Cheese with her dad for a birthday party.

I can't believe Nov is already here. I will be in the 2nd half of my 20's in 17 days. I'm gettin OLD!

Don't forget to "fall back" tonight!

Trick or Treat!?!?

What a FUN day!

Yesterday Kaleb's class went on a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. He wasn't too crazy about the whole experience but here are a few pics.

Look at the blue eyes on this little heartbreaker. Riding the bus...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Look, a pumpkin!!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Afterschool Chloe, Koby and I ran out to get some candy for Nana to pass out to our TRT'ers. Then we came home and waited for time to go. Chloe watched a Charlie Brown Christmas show and then threw herself about until time to go out. Koby and Chloe asked me a total of 5,921,833 times if it was time to TRT yet. ;)

Grandpa and Grandma came by with more Halloween goodies and some awesome flashlights.

The "BOO" Cake. :D

and some mini cupcakes. YUUUUUUM!

No pics of Koby the Ninja Turtle. He doesn't allow it. ;)
And Kaleb went w/o costume. He was so cute. He would walk up to the door and stick out his belly and holler "TRICK OR TREAT" before they had a chance to open the door! LOL

It was tons of fun!
