felicity
Everyday I write a little message to Chloe on her napkin for lunch.
I have been signing it
♥ Mom
This morning she said, "Did you put a note on my napkin this morning?"
I said, "Yes...."
She said, "Will you please go change the "Mom" to "Mommy"?
Made my day.

Update on Us
Once again, life has been busy.
Poor Chloe was down with the stomach virus last week.
She missed some school and took a while to get back to "normal". (Yes, I realize she is never "normal" hehe)
She is having a hard time with the big difference between Kindergarten and 1st grade.
She is exhausted in the mornings and tells me that 1st grade is SO MUCH work and not as fun as Kindergaten.
I refrained from telling her that it only gets worse.
She is doing well, academically, though.
Her teacher is getting ready to get her started in the Accelerated Reading Program and her grades are good! Yay!
I've been a bit of a downer lately.
There are so many different things going on and I feel like I am being pulled in so many different directions. Just as one thing calms down, it seems like something else is waiting right around the corner.
I'm trying to look beyond the negativity and focus on the positives.
I'm a blessed person and I have so much to be thankful for and happy about but somehow I am stuck in this funk.
And when I start feeling down about one thing, all of the other troubles I push to the side come back to the surface.
I'm trying to build on my relationship with Christ. I have to remind myself that He is in control. I have to remember to give my troubles to him and to let Him and His word guide me.
So, I just ask that my friends keep me in their prayers while I find my way through these little bumps in the road.
I miss my Grandpa a lot.
Everyday there are reminders of him. That's a good thing....it shows what an impact he made. But it's also hard. It's been 3 months and I am still trying to process that he is "gone".
With the holidays approaching, it seems to be getting harder.
Anyway, I am looking forward to getting out of this funk and focusing on God and the people and things that bring me joy.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Labor Day Parade!
The girls participated in the Laobr Day Parade on Monday and had so much FUN!
The weather was nice and the girls all did an awesome job!
I didn't get many good pictures since I rode with them but here are a few.
Chloe ready to go.

It was soooo early. She played in the trailer while we decorated. We had to get there at 7am and we were sleeeeepy!

Alicia brought donuts! Mmmmm!

Go Owlets!

We came home and crashed!
It was a really fun day!!
